AUNILO (ASEAN University Network Inter-Library Online), includes 30 library members from 10 countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam). Each year, AUNILO rotationally organizes meetings at its member universities in the network to exchange information, discuss and develop solutions to enhance the capacity of each library as well as collaborative solutions, serving the purpose of training and research of Southeast Asian universities.

Over 13 years since its first meeting in Singapore in 2004, the AUNILO meeting has become an international and prestigious event in the field of library science.

The opening ceremony of the 14th AUNILO Meeting taking place at Learning Resource Center, Can Tho University


In 2018, Can Tho University Learning Resource Center is the host of the 14th AUNILO Meeting, in collaboration with AUNILO Secretariat and Central Library of Viet Nam National University - Ho Chi Minh City. The meeting was attended by Dr. Choltis Dhirathiti, AUN Executive Director; Ms. Engku Razifah Engku Chik, Chairwoman of AUNILO Secretariat; and 51 participants from 23 university members of AUN, including 15 observers from academic libraries in Viet Nam.

The 14th Meeting was themed about "Digital scholarship trend in academic library" and was followed by a training workshop on "Future role of librarian" from the 2nd to 5th of July, 2018. Accordingly, the meeting focused on discussing the future role of library in digital age, digital scholarship in academic environment, digital literacy and digital collection with e-learning and e-research trend.

The 14th meeting truly contributed remarkable benefits to AUN library community through matters discussed on the trend of digital scholarship and raised issues from 13th meeting. It opened new approach to update advanced technology about sharing and preserving information resources as well as to discuss and promote the collaboration among AUNILO in order to contribute to the development of libraries in the region.
